A Screenshot Manager Built on Your Own iCloud
CloudShots has no account system and no screenshot server of its own. Your screenshot history — the images, the recognized text, the tags — lives in the iCloud account already signed in on your devices, and CloudShots is the manager that organizes, searches and cleans it up.
What actually lives in your iCloud
- Every screenshot's image, its history record, and its recognized text, tags, names and summaries, synced through CloudKit — the same private container across iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch.
- No CloudShots account and no CloudShots server — signing in to iCloud on each device is the entire setup.
- iCloud storage itself is billed by Apple, at Apple's own prices, not by CloudShots.
How you manage the synced history
- One library limit setting, 200 screenshots to Unlimited, controls how much history stays open on Free. Out of the box it deletes nothing, on either plan.
- Raising the limit, including to Unlimited, deletes nothing and asks nothing. Only lowering it below your current history is destructive, and it always asks first, naming the exact count.
- Pro's cleanup removes a source original only once it is confirmed uploaded, and always into a recoverable bin — Recently Deleted on iPhone, Trash on Mac.
- Filter the shared history by source device — Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, or CarPlay — to see where each screenshot came from.
Private by default
- Screenshot pixels, recognized text, tags and annotations never leave your iCloud for any third party.
- Marking a screenshot Private, and managing the Private list, is a Pro feature; storage and sync stay identical to Free either way.
- The only outside traffic is anonymized diagnostics, and it never carries screenshot content.

Your iCloud, organized.
No. It's a separate, searchable history of just your screenshots, stored in the same private iCloud account, with recognition and editing iCloud Photos doesn't do.
In your own private iCloud, through CloudKit. CloudShots has no server of its own and no account system.
No. Raising it, including to Unlimited, deletes nothing. Only lowering it below your current library size deletes anything, and only after an explainer and a confirmation naming the exact count.
Marking a screenshot Private and managing the Private list are Pro. iCloud sync and cross-device history stay free on both plans.
iCloud storage is billed by Apple at Apple's own prices; CloudShots doesn't charge separately for storage.
